The Gathering Place

The Gathering Place, located in Green Bay, Wisconsin, is a peer-run recovery center dedicated to supporting adults and unsheltered individuals living with mental health conditions and substance use challenges. Established in 1996 with assistance from the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Wisconsin, the center offers a variety of recovery-oriented programs and activities. These include support groups, SMART Recovery, recovery coaching, educational classes, wellness programs, and mindful activities, all designed to empower individuals on their recovery journeys.

The Gathering Place creates a vibrant environment where clients can enjoy a variety of activities, including arts and crafts, open mic nights, holiday parties, cookouts, games, and excursions. These events are designed to foster fun and connection, giving clients the change to experience a sense of belonging in a safe, sober setting.
