Southeastern Mental Health Authority Uncas on Thames Campus

Southeastern Mental Health Authority, operated by the State of Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS), serves adults 18 and older with mental health and substance use challenges. The center offers outpatient services, crisis intervention, and case management. It also provides specialized programs for young adults, women, LGBTQ+, and people in the justice system, helping everyone regardless of their ability to pay.
The center guides patients toward recovery using a supportive, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive approach. In a community setting, staff provide various counseling services and integrated treatment, addressing both mental health and substance use issues concurrently to help individuals achieve their personal goals.
