Located in the Sunrise Square Shopping Center near 1-10, San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital's Behavioral Health Center offers an intensive program (IOP) for adults with conditions such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, and anxiety. The multidisciplinary team includes psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, psychologists, licensed marriage and family therapists, licensed clinical social workers, registered nurses, and specially trained psychiatric nurses.
Services provided encompass group psychotherapy, medication management, psychoeducation, and therapeutic activities. Group sessions focus on coping skills development, relapse prevention, symptom and stress management, communication skills, and relationship building.
The program operates in Palm Springs, serving regions from Yucaipa to Cabazon and the Coachella Valley, with transportation available when needed. Participants typically attend sessions 2 or 3 days per week, from 9 AM - 1:30 PM. Accepted insurances include Medicare with a supplement, Medi-Cal, and IEHP Dual Choice.
