Reality House Outpatient

Located in Astoria along Broadway, Reality House offers outpatient addiction and mental health services for adults across New York City. The center supports recovery through medically supervised care, group and individual therapy, and practical life services tailored to each client’s needs. Designed to uplift underserved communities, the program welcomes those impacted by poverty, incarceration, trauma, or chronic substance use.
Each client receives an individualized plan that blends trauma-informed therapy with relapse prevention, psychiatric support, and vocational services. Clinicians use evidence-based methods such as motivational counseling and recovery coaching, while wraparound care includes anger management, case management, and family involvement. Day and evening programs create flexibility, making it easier for clients to remain engaged as they build independence and long-term stability.
Reality House offers unique services rarely found in outpatient settings—support for HIV-positive clients, DUI/DWI assessments, and structured assistance for justice-involved individuals. Veterans receive counseling for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), head trauma, and combat-related substance use. They offer same-day appointments, peer support, and a welcoming space rooted in social justice to help individuals heal and reclaim their futures within their community.
