Pyramid York Outpatient treats adults with substance use and mental health concerns. Pyramid Healthcare seeks to make treatment affordable, accepting most private insurance, county funding, and Medicaid.
Pyramid offers day treatment, meeting 6 hours per day, an intensive outpatient program (IOP), meeting 2.25 hours per day, 4 days per week in the morning, afternoon, or evening, and traditional outpatient treatment, meeting about 4 hours per week. They also offer an addiction awareness and DUI program, which fulfills court-ordered treatment requirements, at this location. Pyramid offers walk-in assessments Monday through Wednesday from 9 AM - 7 PM as well as Thursday and Friday from 9 AM - 1 PM, which help place clients in the proper level of care.
Pyramid York Outpatient offers individual therapy using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing (MI) as well as peer support from others who have gone through addiction. Clients engage in group therapy specific to their conditions, learning coping and relapse-prevention strategies, sharing their experience with others and learning from others in similar circumstances. Clients and their loved ones participate in family or couples counseling aimed at increasing understanding and communication, with family support groups available. Pyramid offers onsite yoga and meditation as part of a holistic approach. Collaborating with patients, psychiatrists prescribe and manage medications for co-occurring mental health conditions.
Centrally located at the intersection of Market Street and Business 83, Pyramid York Outpatient provides access to residents throughout York County. Bus lines 1W, 3N, and 6N stop on N Beaver Street at Market Street while 4E, 5E, 10S, and 33 stop at E King Street at S Court Avenue, all within a 5 minute walk of the station. Market Street and Business 83 provide access to the greater York area for clients traveling via car, with paid parking available near the center.
