PrairieCare Maple Grove

This residential PrairieCare facility is a part of a large network of psychiatric care services throughout the state of Minnesota. The location in Maple Grove specializes in residential programs for youth with mental health disorders. The program is informed by psychodynamic theory and is guided by therapeutic skills designed to bring families together and improve their dynamics.
Each client that comes to PrairieCare receives a needs/diagnostic assessment to ensure they are being treated adequately. Each client can access psychiatric care, individual therapy and family therapy while in treatment. Other forms of treatment are provided through activity and recreational therapy, daily living skills, therapeutic skills groups and academic schooling provided by licensed teachers. The length of residential treatment lasts around 3 months, depending on the progress of the client.
