POWER House

POWER House is a treatment center focused on gender-responsive, trauma-informed care for women struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. It offers a full continuum of care that supports women’s overall wellness, including mental and physical health. The center provides personalized treatment designed to help women build a strong foundation for sustained recovery.
Their approach includes a variety of therapies such as individual and group counseling, trauma-specific groups, meditation, yoga, and twelve-step or alternative self-help meetings. Psychiatric assessments and medication management are available through an on-site Medical Director, a psychiatrist, and through partnership with licensed primary health providers at Squirrel Hill Health Center. This comprehensive care helps women address trauma, build life skills, and strengthen family relationships, promoting long-term healing and sobriety.
At POWER House, women reside in one of 26 private bedrooms within a secure, 24-hour staffed environment designed to promote healing and community. Each day blends therapy, physical activity, expressive arts, and social engagement to support recovery. Family participation is encouraged through visits and counseling, while the center also offers resources for education, employment, and housing to help women successfully reintegrate into their communities.
