Oceans Hospitals, Ochsner Health, and Louisiana State University (LSU) Shreveport have teamed up to provide a Shreveport-area treatment center to adults and adolescents. They treat anger, anxiety, bipolar, depression, grief, OCD, panic attacks, personality disorders, PTSD, seasonal affected disorder (SAD), schizophrenia, suicidality, self-harm, stress, trauma, alcohol and drug addiction, co-occurring disorders, and more. Their treatment methods include 1-on-1 counseling, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), group therapy, medication management, relapse prevention counseling, relaxation therapy, and 12-Step Facilitation. For adults, they offer inpatient, day, and intensive outpatient (IOP) treatment, with experience in Alzheimer's, dementia, medication management, and other aging-related challenges for individuals 55+. For adolescents 13-17, they offer inpatient and intensive outpatient programming that specializes in reducing self-harm.
Oceans Behavioral Hospital's psychiatric staff review progress and medications daily. Clients can track their progress and see recommended follow-ups after treatment by using an app called MyChart. They can log in through their Ochsner Health account.
