North Star Residential Palmer Campus

Located near Anchorage, Alaska, this center helps boys ages 11 to 18 who are struggling with mental health conditions like post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), mood disorders, anxiety, and behavioral issues. The center offers long-term psychiatric residential treatment. Its mission is to guide each youth toward emotional growth through compassionate care, family involvement, and proven practices.
The center uses therapies like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and trauma-focused CBT. Youth also take part in group therapy, family sessions, and activity-based learning. The team uses fun, hands-on approaches—like biofeedback, conflict resolution, and adventure-based models—to help youth understand their emotions, improve behavior, and gain healthy life skills.
