Nexus Gerard Family Healing

Nexus Gerard Family Healing provides residential and outpatient mental health care and family support for individuals ages 6-18. They treat individuals with depression, anxiety, ADHD, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and behavioral problems. The center employs a family-centered approach, emphasizing healing and keeping families together.

It also utilizes specialized trauma therapies such as eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), as well as experiential therapies involving sensory activities or animal interactions. The facility is set on a 12-acre campus in Austin, Minnesota, that was once the Hormel Estate. They provide a homelike setting with cozy bedrooms, a family living room, gardens, and trees. The campus also offers outdoor recreation areas, community gardens, comfortable common spaces, and an on-site K-12 school.
