Located in Toledo, Ohio, Medavi offers office-based addiction treatment (OBAT), an outpatient medication treatment for alcohol and drug addiction. OBAT helps reduce withdrawal symptoms, cravings, and highs using medications like Vivitrol, Suboxone, and Subutex, which contain the active ingredients naltrexone, naloxone, and buprenorphine.
Medavi is part of Amatus Health, which provides care nationwide for substance use and mental health disorders. In cases where individuals need therapy for the substance use issue or a co-occurring issue in addition to medication, they can bring in staff to provide detox, day treatment, and residential treatments. They share a building with Ohio Treatment Center, which is also part of Amatus Health.
