LifeStream South Lake

LifeStream’s mission is to create hope, support recovery, and promote health for people of all ages. Since their beginning in 1969, they have grown to have locations in many states and offer both social and behavioral health services. Their South Lake Campus location offers inpatient and outpatient care for adults and adolescents through access services, an adult crisis stabilization unit, medical services, and their Youth and Recovery Care Center (YRCC).
LifeStream uses a centralized system to refer individuals to agencies and services. Individuals can call their 24-hour crisis hotline to be matched with the appropriate level of care. The hotline has emergency evaluators who are specially trained to conduct mental health and substance use assessments to provide crisis intervention and provide connection to services.
Their Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit offers short-term inpatient treatment for adults experiencing serious, acute psychiatric distress. They provide an alternative to long-term hospitalization by delivering brief but intensive stabilization services. They conduct assessments to determine the most appropriate course of care and depending on individual needs, treatment may include 1-on-1, group, and recreational therapies. Discharge planning and referrals to outpatient or community-based services ensure a smooth transition to ongoing care and long-term wellness.
The YRCC offers outpatient and short-term (30-45 day stay) residential treatment for youth ages 12-17 residing in Lake County. Including caregivers in the process, they work with youth who are just starting to experiment with substances, use occasionally, or have been using for a longer period. The YRCC offers services to meet the needs of the whole family through person-centered and culturally, linguistically and age-appropriate services. Services include 1-on-1, group, and family therapies, peer support, life skills, aftercare planning, and referrals.
