High Desert Counseling - St. George

High Desert Counseling is an outpatient treatment center specializing in substance use disorders offering a range of evidence-based treatment options for both men and women, including day treatment, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and general outpatient services. High Desert Counseling's approach focuses on providing structured, intensive care while allowing clients to maintain their independence and daily responsibilities. Their holistic programs incorporate individual dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), group therapy, psychoeducation, family therapy and relapse prevention strategies, tailored to meet each client's unique needs.
Day treatment includes individual counseling, group counseling, and medication management 4 days per week, 5 hours per day. Intensive outpatient treatment offers group sessions and one individual counseling session 9 hours per week for 12-16 weeks, helping participants continue to work and fulfill other responsibilities. General outpatient treatment is available both as a direct admit option and as a step-down from more intensive care. Clients receive recovery coaching, peer support, and continued clinical care for substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns. High Desert Counseling accepts a variety of insurance options including Selecthealth, Health Choice Utah, Medicaid, Aetna, University of Utah Health Plans, Molina, PEHP, United Healthcare, and Blue Cross Blue Shield.
