FortySeven Main Street

FortySeven Main Street is a small residential program in Vermont for adult men with serious mental health conditions like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, OCD, and ADHD. They offer a structured, supportive environment with daily activities and personal attention, serving just 11 residents at a time. Each person has an individualized program to help them move forward in life.
The program focuses on healing through work, creativity, and community. Residents take part in activities like carpentry, gardening, art, animal care, and music, supported by caring staff and visiting professionals. These hands-on therapies help build confidence, skills, and routine—giving each resident purpose and a sense of belonging.
Residents live in a sunny home with private rooms, shared meals, and a peaceful setting in Castleton, Vermont. The house offers cozy spaces, healthy food (often grown and cooked by residents), and easy access to nearby schools and nature. Local transportation is provided, and family involvement is welcomed to support long-term healing.
