Charleston Center of Charleston County

Charleston Center, also known as the Charleston County Department of Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Services (DAODAS), treats people facing substance use and mental health challenges. It serves adults, teens, pregnant and parenting women, and people in jail. Services include outpatient care, detox, and residential treatment like the New Life Unit for mothers and the Transitional Care Unit for adults. Their facility supports healing in a safe, structured environment.
Treatment takes place in a calm, supportive setting. Programs use proven therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
