Chapa-De Indian Health

Chapa-De's team provides routine screenings, education, brief interventions, and referrals for drug and alcohol addiction treatment. They offer referrals to all levels of care, including outpatient, intensive outpatient, and residential treatment, available to Medi-Cal patients. Additional treatment options are offered for American Indian patients.
Chapa-De provides care for both opioid and alcohol addiction through a mix of medical support and group programs. For opioid use, specially trained providers guide patients with medication-assisted treatment (MAT) that combines medicine, counseling, and case management. For alcohol recovery, groups follow the SMART Recovery model, offering education, peer support, and optional medical consultation. Together, these services build lasting recovery and healthier futures.
Chapa-De also supports tobacco cessation, helping patients explore motivation, develop quitting strategies, and learn about medications like nicotine patches that can aid in quitting.
