Catholic Charities Elk River Youth Day Treatment

Located off U.S. Route 169 in Elk River, this nonprofit day treatment center serves adolescents ages 11-18 who experience anxiety, depression, trauma, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), and behavioral challenges. The program offers partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient care (IOP) through individual, group, and family therapy, helping youth strengthen their functioning at home, in school, and in the community.
Clinicians use trauma-informed care supported by evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness strategies, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). Each treatment plan reflects the child’s needs and integrates social-emotional learning, stress management tools, and positive youth development models like the Circle of Courage to promote healing, self-regulation, and healthy connection.

Most stay in the program for 6 to 12 months, depending on clinical need.
